Devdraft does not impose specific transaction limits on most account types. You can move funds freely for legitimate business and personal use cases without predefined caps.
Standard Transactions - No Limits
The following transaction types have no limits:
- First party transactions (“me to me” transfers between your own accounts)
- Business to business (B2B) payments
- Business to consumer (B2C) payments, including payroll
- Consumer to business payments for goods and services
You can process transactions of any size for these use cases, subject to standard fraud and compliance monitoring.
Third Party Peer-to-Peer (3PP) Transactions
For peer-to-peer payments to third parties, Devdraft applies a monitoring threshold:
- Limit: $4,000 USD / €4,000 EUR per transaction
- Applies to: Wire transfers, SEPA, and ACH payments sent to third parties
What happens if I exceed the 3PP limit?
Transactions exceeding $4,000 USD / €4,000 EUR are routed to manual review. These payments may be approved with appropriate supporting evidence, such as:
- Invoices or receipts
- Contracts or agreements
- Proof of relationship with the recipient
- Documentation of the payment purpose
In some cases, this threshold may be adjusted based on fraud concerns or at your request.
Risk-Based Review
While most transactions have no limits, Devdraft reserves the right to review payments that present elevated risk factors, including:
- Payments involving businesses with little or no online presence
- Transactions with elderly counterparties (potential elderly financial exploitation)
- Unusual patterns such as unusually large amounts, high velocity, or multiple small payments
- Receiver name mismatches
Any payment that cannot be fully substantiated or is deemed high-risk may be reversed, regardless of amount.
Why These Limits Exist
Our transaction monitoring program helps protect customers, developers, and partners from fraud, theft, and scams. It also helps us meet regulatory obligations and safeguard the reputation of Devdraft and our banking partners.
